TrophyManager again changed their Squad page. I've finally been able to find some time around the holidays to fix the TrExMa plugin.
It's available at Google Code as version 0.8.6.

Trexma for Firefox 3.5
Been away from the blogging world for a while. Been away from the Trexma world for a while.
During that time, Firefox 3.5 was released and I hadn't had the opportunity to change a simple setting and redeploy the package for 3.5.
Well that's been done now. You can now download Trexma 0.8.5.1 from the google code site.
Hopefully this helps. :)

TrExMa 0.8.5 is out
TrExMa 0.8.5 is released. This includes a bunch of code cleanup, removal of the old quick lineup in favor of the complete Hungarian Algorithm method as well as converting the Shortlist, and Youth Development to use the new codebase.
If all goes well, this could be the final "preview" before deprecating 0.6.2.

New TrExMa Preview Release
I've updated TrExMa for Firefox after finding a bug in scraping the Transfer Pages.
This bug exists in all versions of the plugin as the Transfer List uses slightly different HTML to display starred skills. The starred skills were getting skipped over and treated as zero. Sheffield FC also picked up on this bug and reported to me as I was in the midst of adding some additional features for this release. So thanks to him for noticing the problem!
Additional features include the introduction of skill summaries, Attack, Defending, etc.
You can find the new plugin: http://code.google.com/p/trexma-for-firefox/
Thanks!

TrExMa for Firefox 0.8 Preview Release
Over at TrExMa For Firefox, you can find a long awaited update to the TrExMa plugin for the popular TrophyManager game. Version 0.8 is available and this is a Preview Release.
This was an excuse to learn a little about XUL, do some jQuery and refactor the plugin. Unfortunately, it still needs a ton of refactoring, and the code is quite soupy. This is a use at your own risk version. The plugin can crash, provide a little popup saying something's wrong, and sometimes not even offer that. It's buggy. Since I'm not a XUL or UI expert, there's a lot of things that have been done in a sloppy fashion and things that cause bugs. Anyone who's using this, I would really appreciate using the issue tracker rather than sending an email over at TM or posting in those forums. Reason is, I get notified if someone posts an issue.
It allows the user to see hit players abilities for all positions and dynamically change the loss of skill for the player being out of a favorite position. This feature works by clicking on the TrExMa for Firefox label in the status bar. You'll see a little XUL window appear in your browser. If you browse to a squad screen or a transfer list screen, you'll get a list of players to choose from. Clicking on a player will present the skills for that player in all positions available.
In addition, a drop down box is available to determine what player is the best at each position. If you want to find the best ML, select ML and the plugin will produce the top 5 players on that screen in that particular position.
Quite a bit of refactoring involved brining in the jQuery Javascript plugin. I'm very happy with the integration of jQuery, it's an outstanding tool, as it just flat out works against HTML and XUL.
If you don't like it, uninstall it and reinstall 0.6.2. If you do like it, please offer suggestions and features that you'd like to see. Still on the idea block is the ability to determine your best 11 for a given formation, but that's a little ways off.

TrExMa for Firefox 0.6.2
TrophyManager.com players. TrExMa 0.6.2 is finally available. It should resolve most of the issues in getting a TrExMa rating since the update of TM's web site.

Update to TrophyManager Training Script
I've updated the training script to support the new flash based graph. The new graph makes this script less useful, since the graph now shows the detail that was left out before. I contemplating not doing the update, but since the update was very easy, I thought it was worthwhile.
On another note, I've had a lot of requests to combine some of the functionality into other scripts. I would like to do that, but just haven't had the time. I actually would prefer to learn how to make these scripts a legitimate Firefox extension, but haven't had the time. A lot of logic is repeated in all of the scripts, which for you programming geeks, severely violates DRY. Moving to an extension might help to solve some of those issues.
But again, time is the concern.
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know about the update.
Thanks

TrophyManager TrExMa Transfer List Hack
OK, one more GM script for TrophyManager.
This one extends the TrExMa hack for all players on the Transfer List. GKs are included as well using the ideas from the forum.
This should be handy due to the National Team releases and many of those players are quite pricey at 50M. Might as well get the most bang for your buck.

YATMGMS - TrExMa Ratings on Squad Page
Yet Another TrophyManager GreaseMonkey Script.
This one generates TrExMa ratings on the Squad page.
Still no real good idea on how to grade GKs.

Another TrophyManager.com Greasemonkey Script
Another new script. This one will pull scrape the abilities for the player and calculate the skill of the player as the cool Excel tool TrExMa will.
Provides a handy way to identify the overall skill of a player. Obviously, YMMV, but it should give you a quick estimate on a player's overall ability.
It doesn't work for the Goalkeepers, but TrExMa doesn't have a calculation for them. I'd be interested in any thoughts on computing their skills.

TrophyManager Greasemonkey Script
I started playing TrophyManager in some of the few spare moments I have at work in order to give my brain a reset. You know, one of those things that just gets your brain off of work for a few moments, so you can dive back in with your mind fresh. The game is a soccer management simulation with players from around the world.
So I was checking out the players page with FireBug, when I realized that the training graph provided more information than I expected. The URL for generating the graph contained the ordinal values that make up the training. What I failed to realize at first was that this graph contained the decimal values that make up the training.
So I decided to go ahead and learn some more Javascript by creating a Greasemonkey script to hack the query string of the URL and provide a nice little table to show exact amounts of training. So far people seem to like it. Someone even translated it to Norwegian! Wow, cool!
What else can be hacked in TrophyManager through GM?
